Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know how much care is needed?

Is your loved one fairly active and mobile, or do they need someone to assist them throughout the day? A personalized home care plan is built based on the unique needs of your situation. Miracares provides home care services for seniors and other adults, from a few hours a day to 24/7 care and live-in services.

How do I pay for home care?

The most common way to pay for home care is private pay. But certain home care services may be covered by long-term care insurance, veterans benefits, public programs such as Medicaid, and some Medicare Advantage plans.

How quickly can home care services start?

It could depend on the type of care that is needed. At Miracares, our priority is to listen and get a better understanding of your needs. From there, we schedule an in-home visit to discuss the type of care required and answer any additional questions. Once a client agreement is signed, we determine a start date and make a personal introduction to your caregiver.

What is the difference between home care and home health care?

Although there are differences, both home care and home healthcare have the same goal: to keep your loved ones safe and as healthy as possible. They often work in tandem. For example, a home healthcare nurse or physician’s assistant may visit the home and adjust prescriptions, while a non-medical caregiver makes sure these medications are taken correctly. Home care fills the gap between people needing medically skilled services and people who need non-medical companionship and help around the house.

What are some examples of services provided by Miracares Home Care and how do I get started?

Miracares offers companion care and personal care services, as well as respite care, dementia care and as senior administrative support care services. Request a personalized price quote today and learn more about how your loved one can benefit from our home care services.

Can you only get care in a private residence?

While we deliver care in private residences, we also provide home care services in a variety of other settings, including senior living communities, rehabilitation facilities and hospice settings.
